“Are Ye Able,” Said the Master

Description

This rich setting includes all four verses of the hymn skillfully arranged by Tracey Ann Biddle for SATB choir with piano and orchestra accompaniment. The choral part begins with unison singing of the first verse followed by alternating phrases of ladies and men only for the second verse. The third verse is again in unison building into four part harmony for the chorus. There is a short interlude modulating up a step for the fourth verse in unison, chorus in parts and majestic ending.

This setting is suitable for student choirs and church choirs of limited experience as well as professional groups. The orchestra parts are suitable for intermediate to advanced players.
