Description

The well-beloved theme of Spring from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons opens this arrangement of a rather obscure, but valuable hymn composed by the great hymnwriter Philip P. Bliss. The Hebrew Captive Kneeling is an inspirational gospel song based upon the scriptural account of Daniel and the other Hebrew captives in Babylon. Arranger Craig K. Sandford weaves these two melodies together into a delightful musical tapestry. A facsimile of the original hymn is included in the Conductor’s score for reference.

Suitable for advanced players.

This arrangement is available on the CD album Masterworks Vol.2
